The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) is supporting the international Asia Grains&Oils Conference, which will be held on September 16-17, 2026, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The National Oilseed Processors Association was established in 2021 to develop Kazakhstan’s domestic vegetable oil and fat industry, ensure the country’s food independence, and strengthen and expand the position of Kazakh products on the global market.
The association is accredited by the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. It plays a key role in improving communication between agricultural producers, processors and government agencies and has now become a driver of the development of Kazakhstan’s vegetable oil and fat industry as one of the promising sectors of the country’s agro-industrial complex.
NOPA brings together 52 oilseed processing plants, which process more than 90% of oilseeds in the country and are the main suppliers of vegetable oil and fat products to domestic and foreign markets.
In 2025, Kazakhstan ranked sixth globally in sunflower oil exports and second in the Chinese market. In addition, the country is a leading supplier of vegetable oils to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, with a share of more than 90%, fully meets Central Asia’s demand for sunflower meal and ranks among the top three suppliers of sunflower meal to the EU.
The current situation in Kazakhstan’s vegetable oil and meal market, as well as the prospects for supplying these products to Uzbekistan, will be discussed at the Asia Grains&Oils Conference by Andrey Antonov, executive director for strategic development at the National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA).
The conference will also allow participants not only to hear presentations from leading experts and market participants, but also to establish direct business contacts with potential partners and discuss mutually beneficial cooperation.
